Evora

Évora, city and concelho (municipality), south-central Portugal.
It lies in a fertile valley surrounded by low hills, 70 miles (110 km) east of Lisbon.
Originally known as Ebora, it was from 80 to 72 BCE the headquarters of
the Roman commander Quintus Sertorius, and it long remained an important Roman military centre

Coimbra

Capital of the Portuguese Kingdom in bygone ages and meeting point of several cultures,
Coimbra combines a rich architectonic and historical heritage
with modern facilities for the arts and sports
and green, open-air spaces.

Fatima

Today, the town of Fatima is home to a vast sanctuary complex,
which includes a basilica, a chapel, and a museum.
The increase in popularity is related to the appearance of the Virgin Mary
to three children in 1917 – “Três Pastorinhos”,
which means “Three Little Shepherds” if translated.

Tomar

Former seat of the Order of the Knights Templar,
Tomar is a city of great charm for its artistic and cultural wealth,
whose greatest expression is in the Convent of Christ,
one of the chief works of the Portuguese Renaissance.

Sintra

Sintra is a charming destination in the Lisbon district of Portugal.
The town is best known for its castles, palaces,
and the natural beauty of the surrounding mountains.
It’s an easy 40-minute trip from Lisbon,
which makes it a perfect day trip from the capital city.
